What I saw, Heard and Thought
Vapours of Spirituality in the Winds of Bukhara
People Do Not Go There for Good Deeds
In the past days I traveled to Samarkand, Tashkent and Bukhara. What a wonderful spiritual journey it was. I was astonished at one thing that people started asking me that is I going there too? And what had you gone there for? Initially this pinched me, and then I came to know that people do not go there for good deeds. But not all of them. Many are such that they go there for spirituality. And huge spiritual centers of the spiritual world through which even today bliss is being poured. The example of this is such that a person was taking seven ships of Nile (the powder with which clothes are washed in the subcontinent). A ship sank in the path. And six of them were left. The country in which he took it, he got a really good price for it and he became wealthy at once. He wished to get married. He married a beautiful lady. Expenses bloated so much and he spent so much on the wife that the wealth of six ships and their profit vanished all of a sudden. When everything was lost, his wife turned away from him. He was coming back empty handed. On his way back he came to the place where his ship sank. The sea was still pouring out Nile. He wondered that his wife consumed six ships, and the sea had still not managed to digest a single ship, and still the water it is pouring out is bluish.
Spiritual Chants of حق and ھو
I heard this example and it has been quoted. But when I reached Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent then I understood the same thing over there that during the era of Soviet Union all the signs of Islam were erased from there. But all the spiritual centers and the mausoleums of of dervishes were left behind, still the spiritual chants of حق and ھو and unseen voices are being heard. And the people who want to listen are listening to them and the ones who want to achieve something are achieving that. This is the specialty of truth, the more you suppress it the more it grows. Truth cannot be erased, no matter how hard you try to erase it. Truth emerges again with all its realities and it acquires its true heights and covers the horizon. And the same state is that of these cities. Now the truth is rising above with all its realities. The best hand that is available that is that of their respectable president Mr. Shaukat Mirza. He removed a lot of restrictions and provided a chill and fragrance to the spiritual hearts that want to walk on the true paths of life. I went to a spiritual center that is present there in the form of a bazar and a market. I was stood there and I was reciting durood sharif. I felt strange voices coming out of the walls as if every brick of every wall was saying Allah ھو. I was astonished and I looked left and right. I could not see anyone saying اللہ ھو. I wondered that after all where did this voice come from? I looked right and left. I looked above and below. That from any corner or gallery or turn I could see a person whose voice could reach me. But I was disappointed. For a few moments I had a doubt on my ears as if my ears were being deceived. Then I started reciting durood pak again. Then I heard the same voices of اللہ ھو that reached me with a lot of sentiments and good states.
The Steps That Are Taken Towards Good Are Never Wasted
I was astonished. At last a voice came in my heart. At last a voice came from my heart. In the air and winds and in every brick and particle of the building, the chants of حق ھو that were raised a century ago, are so so much engrossed in them that even today they are rising from every brick and are fragrance those airs. I again focused my ears to that please and my thoughts came out to be true. That from every particle of the bricks, from every wall and door, voices of Haq and Hoo was coming out. This is reality. This is the truth. This journey gives us a lesson. That never ever the good deeds you do shall be wasted. The steps that are taken towards good, even if they are not giving you good results yet, shall never go wasted. The voice that has been raised for good, the words that have been written and the voices that have been raised, a time will come that they shall bring colors and they adorn the orchard of the spirit with flowers and buds. Then I became engulfed in listening to these voices and so much so that I forgot myself. And a verse came to my lips all of a sudden.
By the Grace of Allah Spring Shall Revert In These Airs
Believe me! In the winds of Bukhara even now there are vapors of spirituality. The chants and echoes of the name of Allah is alive. Yes, we do not have the ears that can listen to them. But the realities never vanish in vein. Voice is alive and striving. Come! Let’s make our emotions happy and alive. By the grace of Allah, this Bukhara, this Samarkand and Tashkent, in every street and corner of which, wonderful friends of Allah and unequivocal personalities are sleeping, their hard work shall never go in vein. And spring shall come in the air. And by the grace of Allah it will come. And we have to remember one lesson again. Never think of a good deed to be wasted. Whether that is sadqa, charity, zakaat, Ushar, sweet words, a help for a poor man or help of a poor man that is never wasted. That is useful for you as well as your generations.
